The Auto Technology program is a two-year intensified program designed to prepare students entering into the automotive world on an apprenticeship level. The program, which is a part of the Excel Technical Education Career Consortium (TECC), is taught by an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certified instructor and is offered to Juniors and Seniors.
Emphasis is also placed on the career options available in the automotive world, including parts manager, and sales manager. Brush High School’s provision of equipment supplies and instructional materials is the same as or better than that found in professional work facilities. The content of this technical program realistically reflects the requirements of the labor market. Each day the program will entail one period of related class, where book learning will enhance the practical experience in the lab, followed by two periods of lab, where related lessons are applied.
Many students have career placement opportunities during the second year if they are eligible.
