FLIGHT Program

 21st Century “ FLIGHT” Team

Facilitating Lifelong Independence and Good Habits for Tomorrow

Twenty-First Century Grant Program Definition
FLIGHT is a program that is designed  to help students, who attend eligible schools, to meet state academic achievement standards in reading and math. The program provides expanded learning opportunities that build and expand upon the regular school day, as well as other related activities.

South Euclid-Lyndhurst City Schools Mentoring Program
The FLIGHT Team began in the fall of 2006, with the goal of increasing state achievement scores in both reading and mathematics.

Through our afterschool work we have taught students the importance of organization, setting priorities and the intrinsic reward of following through on one’s goals. We proudly celebrate their successes and hard work as they apply these skills today, and make connections with tomorrow’s challenges.

SEL FLIGHT Plan:

  • Increase scores in math and reading achievement
  • Enhance time management and organizational skills
  • Increase involvement in the school community
  • Make connections to the real world around them
