Occupational & Physical Therapy Services

Occupational and physical therapy services are offered as a related service to any student with disabilities whose goals and objectives would be unreachable without this related service. Occupational therapy service is concerned with the development and operation of the small or fine motor skills required to become educationally successful. Physical therapy service is concerned with the development and operation of gross motor skills required to become educationally successful. Services are offered by licensed and state certified therapists and may include individual work, small group work, or, as in most cases, consultation with the child’s teacher related to day-to-day practices that would facilitate the educational process. The goals and objectives of the student’s educational program guide the occupational services.
