Speech & Language Services

Speech and language services are offered by qualified, certified speech language pathologists to those students who qualify.  Speech and language services include articulation therapy, language therapy for expressive language disorders, and remediation in the area of receptive language.  These services may be available as a program or as a related service to another special education program.  The goal of speech language therapy is to support the educational process.  The focus of speech and language services is at the primary level.  Research indicates the earlier speech and language disorders are assessed and intervened with, the better the prognosis for change.
