Welcome and Meet the Principals

Welcome from Interim Principal Jenkins

2023-2024 School Year

Dear Charles F. Brush High School Families,

Happy 2024! Please see below for an update regarding important matters at Charles F. Brush High School. Despite the recent passing of Mr. Fording, the staff and students have demonstrated a togetherness and resilience that is truly commendable. The students have shown remarkable dedication to their academics and extracurricular activities.  Their commitment has not changed, and we continue to witness outstanding achievements in academics, arts, sports, and community service.  Our staff has played a crucial role in maintaining a supportive environment for our students.  Their commitment to the well-being and success of each student has been incredible.  The students and staff have worked collaboratively to ensure a smooth transition and uphold the values that make Brush High School special.

Looking ahead, students should be reminded that Fall Semester Exams will take place starting Friday, January 12th - Thursday, January 18th. Friday, January 19th is a teacher workday and the 2nd quarter ends.  Stay organized! As we enter a crucial phase of the academic year, it's essential for students to maintain a well-organized schedule to balance coursework, assignments, and any upcoming exams. Seek help when needed: Students are encouraged to reach out to teachers, counselors, or administration if they encounter challenges or need additional assistance.

On the parent side, we strongly encourage supportive and open communication with your child and teacher about their academic progress, goals, and any concerns they may have. Attendance and punctuality: Ensure your child maintains regular attendance and arrives on time for classes, as attendance is key to academic success. Involvement in school activities: Encourage your child to participate in school events, clubs, and activities to enhance their overall educational experience.

In the classroom, a key academic focus going into the Spring semester is our commitment to embedding literacy strategies throughout the content areas, while also preparing for end of semester exams. Time management, study skills, and effective exam preparation strategies will be emphasized to ensure students are well-equipped for success.
