The excitement we see at Rowland Elementary School since the start of the school is significant, as building leaders and staff members are witnessing students who are growing by leaps and bounds physically, socially, and academically.
Congratulations, students and families. You are all capable of performing challenging tasks, solving hard problems, and being successful. The Rowland leadership team encourages you all to continue to be persistent, give your best effort, and remain positive. Thus far, you are exceeding our expectations. Keep going!
All members of our school family are reminded about the importance of attendance as it relates to learning. Ensuring that your child is in school, arriving on time, and being prepared is vital to success. When students miss a day, they miss a lot. Naturally, when under the weather, please do what is necessary. Remember hats, gloves, coats, and proper nutrition helps to keep us all healthy and well. Thanks for taking the matter of attendance seriously. Your help is greatly appreciated.
In looking to the next semester, students across all grade levels will be working to improve their writing with learning strategies to write in response to topics they are reading. This helps with interpersonal communications and comprehension skills.
Please be ready to read… and read with constructive thinking skills. Looking ahead, 3rd grade Ohio State Testing will be taking place in April, and classes will be preparing with the necessary coursework and skill development. Also, iReady Winter Benchmark Assessments (K-3) Reading will take place the week of January 22nd and Math the week of January 29th. To the Rowland Family… you got this! Let’s do everything needed to prepare!
