The seasonal sights and sounds of Brush High School performing arts talent were alive and on full display earlier in the week, as the High School Chamber Orchestra and Jazz Band performed for senior citizens at The South Euclid Community Center.
The Brush High School Drama Department is proud to present You Can't Take it With You. This Pulitzer Prize winning play, by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, is about a man from a family of rich snobs who becomes engaged to a woman from a good-natured but decidedly eccentric family.

Brush students in Creative Writing Club had the opportunity to spend a day with Twelve Literary Arts*, participating in creative writing workshops. They shared the day with students from other Cleveland area schools. Students listened to the resident artists share their poetry, and were able to share their own personal poetry with other students participating in the workshops. Artists from “Twelve” will be conducting workshops with students at Brush HS starting in October.

Twelve orchestra students from Charles F. Brush High School participated in the Ohio Music Education Association District 7 Competition this past weekend and positively represented our District. An “Arc Pride” special shout-out goes out to these students who spend countless hours before and after school preparing and practicing their music to perform for certified adjudicators, who serve as judges and essentially critique the students' performance and supply them with constructive comments to help improve their playing. The community should be very proud of their hard work and dedication to music.
