On Tuesday, April 10, the 5th grade MAC Scholars visited and toured the Carl B. Stokes U.S. Court House. The Scholars were invited by Mr. Nathaniel Colbert, II a federal Probation Officer and the father of MAC Scholar, Nate Colbert, III. The MAC Scholars were greeted by lawyers, probation officers and supervisors. They learned about the workings of our United States Justice System from experts in the field. The highlight of the tour was entering the court room of Chief Judge Solomon Oliver, Jr. and having the opportunity to interact in a Q and A with Judge Oliver, the highest ranking judge at the Court House. Judge Oliver emphasized the importance of education and hard work as key components to success.
