Brush Boys Basketball Team Wins Conference Championship

The Boys Varsity Basketball team wrapped up an impressive regular season with a 53-44 victory over Cuyahoga Falls that clinched the Conference Championship. The team matched the best regular season in school history with an outstanding 17-3 record, including a 9-1 record in league play. At the start of the year, the team put together a nine game winning streak and concluded the regular season with another eight game winning streak that is still alive as they head into post season play. 

The Arcs next playoff game is at Euclid High School on Saturday, March 3rd at 7:30 PM. 

There have been many highlights this season. The team opened the year with an exciting road victory at Benedictine 66-65. Later in December, the boys won the Brush Holiday Tournament by defeating Willoughby South in the championship game 80-59. At the tournament, Jameel Moore made the All Tournament Team and Curtis Oakley was named MVP. The team knocked off reigning conference champion Stow twice including at Stow on a last second tip in by Jamison Days. The team also represented the school and community quite well in the Dunk 4 Diabetes Shootout when it soundly defeated VASJ 79-66 on a game aired live on Sportstime Ohio. Seniors Pharaoh Brown and Curtis Oakley moved into the school record books as Curtis moved into third place on the all time scoring list and Pharaoh finished the regular season second on the all time rebounding list. In addition to the varisity's success the Junior Varsity team, coached by Dave Ferrando also finished with a 17-3 record.
