Jean-David Laplanche has won a $1000.00 scholarship provided by the Cleveland office of the French American Chamber of Commerce. The scholarship is in conjunction with the Lakeland Community College photography department headed by Dr. Bruce Cline. The scholarship was granted after having written an essay explaining why photography is an important tool in the classroom. Essays were sent to the French American Chamber of Commerce by Northeastern Ohio area teachers wishing to participate in the Photography in France program, July 16-25, 2012.

Jean-David is an avid amateur photographer who has had many photographs already published. This opportunity will enable him to complete a photo shoot in Rouen, France as well as Paris, France- an area already well known by this instructor.
