Brush Arcs Football Team Defeats Twinsburg, 41-35, in Three Overtime Thriller
The Brush Arcs Football team won an exciting three overtime thriller, 41-35, over the Twinsburg Tigers on Friday night.  Winners of the Spielman Grid Iron Classic trophy, the Arcs wore pink socks and the crowd was filled with pink t-shirts to promote breast cancer awareness. 

The Arcs opened up the scoring with a touchdown in the first quarter and finished the first half with a 7-0 lead.  After halftime, the Twinsburg Tigers had 14-7 and 21-14 leads before the Brush Arcs tied the game 21-21 to force overtime.

The overtime was quite exciting, as each team scored touchdowns for the first two overtime periods.  In the third overtime period, the Brush Arcs successfully stopped the Twinsburg Tigers on a four down goal line stand before scoring a touchdown to win the game 41-35.

At the end of the game, the Brush Arcs were presented the Spielman Grid Iron Classic trophy and Stephen Shorts was awarded the MVP Award.  The win raised the Arcs record to 3-2, as the Arcs are on a two game winning streak. 

There are two games left for the Brush Athletic Department's support of promoting breast cancer awareness.  The Brush/Memorial Athletic Booster Club will be selling Breast Cancer Awareness T-Shirts for $20 which will admit anyone wearing this shirt into the girls soccer game on October 1st against Beachwood and the boys soccer game on October 2nd against Mayfield.  For more information on the Spielman Grid Iron Classic, please click here.
