MJH Student Council Holds Successful Bake Sale

On Monday, November 18th and Tuesday, November 19th, the Memorial Junior High School Student Council held an enormously successful bake sale at the Memorial Boys Basketball games against Chardon and Mayfield.  The purpose of the bake sale was to raise funds in support of a student-led project to paint the school cafeteria.  Student Council members and their parents baked a wide variety of delicious cookies, cupcakes, candy and other sweet treats for staff, parents, students, as well as fans from visiting schools to enjoy.  To help generate awareness and support of the bake sale, students created homemade signs to display both inside and outside the gym.  The students’ enthusiasm and hard work paid off, as the bake sale raised over $450!  As an important next step, the MJH Student Council has begun to develop a presentation regarding their plan to paint the school cafeteria, which will be submitted to the District for final approval.  The eighty-three members of the MJH Student Council are extremely excited for the opportunity to transform the school cafeteria by expressing their creativity and Arc Pride in the form of artwork and inspiring words.  Congratulations, to the Memorial Junior High Student Council for their commitment to making a positive difference in their school and community!
