Thomas Denk, a 6th grade student at Greenview Middle School, was recently crowned the winner of the 4th Annual Turkey Chess Tournament at Brush High School on Tuesday, November 26, 2019. Participants competed in four single elimination rounds in order to advance to the championship round. This year’s championship matchup featured Brush senior Raiquan Hollis and Greenview 6th grader Thomas Denk. All participating students demonstrated good sportsmanship and the ability to think strategically. Congratulations to Thomas Denk on prevailing as the 2019 Turkey Chess Tournament Champion! Please circle your calendars for the Legends Chess Tournament, which will take place on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, in Wesler Gymnasium at Brush High School.
