Sunview students learned valuable lessons about personal safety through a fun and creative assembly presented by the Officer Phil Safety Program. The live presentation featured ventriloquism, magic tricks and humor, along with some assistance provided by officers from the Lyndhurst Police Department to teach students how to “Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be Aware” in their everyday lives. Topics covered during the assembly included respect for authority figures, online safety and how to react when approached by a stranger. Students were then given an activity book to take home and review what they had learned. A big thank-you to the Lyndhurst Police Department for helping our students learn about safety!
