On Mondays, May 7th (2nd/3rd Grade), & May 21st (K/1st Grade), Rowland students will enjoy a culminating Career Exploration Assembly designed to bring real careers to life.  Throughout the year, students have studied life-long-21st Century Job Skills utilizing the “Words of the Month” & SEL K-3 Curriculum taught by School Counselor, Lisa Artino

The assembly will feature presenters from the community and South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools representing a diverse array of career fields, including Fireman Scott Sebastian from the South Euclid Fire Department, Officer Kathy Tomaro, from the Lyndhurst Police Department, as well as a cosmetologist.  The SEL schools will be represented by Superintendent Linda N. Reid, Greenview Principal Mrs. Kelly Murphy, Behavior Specialist, Jerome Jackson, Memorial Assistant Principal Mrs. Deb Cegelka, and a surprise visit from Greenview Upper Elementary.  Students will also have a chance to interact with Horticulture Teacher, Sam McCracken & students from our Excel TECC Horticulture Program.  Thank you to everyone involved for helping our students prepare for a successful future!

Finally, summer will be here soon and is a great time to have children volunteer, shadow parent(s) to work, join a team or get involved in a new hobby, all of which foster communication and collaboration skills.
