To mark the end of the 3rd grading quarter and reward students for meeting behavior goals, Memorial Junior High hosted a PBIS event on Friday, March 23, 2018. The building-wide event provided students a variety of fun activities to enjoy before the official start of Spring Break. An exciting tug-of-war competition between the 7th and 8th grade classes kicked off the festivities in the new gym. Students were then dismissed to pursue activities throughout the building which included a dodgeball tournament in the old gym and face-painting in the cafeteria. The PBIS system promotes positive behaviors through fun school-wide events and using Arc Bucks, daily rewards given to students for “doing the right thing at the right time,” which students can use to enter regular prize drawings.
