Maya Stanton, a student at Sunview Elementary School, was recognized recently at the 2018 Edible Books Festival. The event was hosted at Loganberry Books and Strong Bindery in Shaker Heights on Saturday, April 7th. The creative contest is open to people of all ages and the only requirement is that participants make edible art that has a book related theme. Maya received the Logan Award for “Most Literary” entry, which featured an impressively designed cake with Dulce De Leche icing and a graham cracker topping that visually depicted scenes from the book Holes written by Louis Sachar. The Cleveland celebration has been sponsored at Loganberry Books since 2004, and is part of Edible Book Day, which is celebrated every year on the first Saturday in April in various parts of the world. Congratulations to Maya Stanton on her impressive achievement!
