SEL Teachers and Staff Welcomed Back at 2018 Convocation

The SEL Schools welcomed teachers and staff back for the 2018-19 school year at its annual Convocation on Monday, August 13, 2018 at the Brush Performing Arts Center.  Lyndhurst Mayor Patrick A. Ward along with members of the South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools Board of Education also attended the event. The Brush High School Varsity Cheerleader Squad kicked-off the program with “Arc-pride” filled cheers, before being joined by the Brush Marching Band which performed several pop classics, including “Sir Duke” by Stevie Wonder and “Take on Me” by A-Ha.  Superintendent Linda N. Reid took the opportunity to recognize all new teachers and staff and welcome them to the SEL Schools.  During her remarks, Superintendent Reid highlighted a variety of student, staff and district-wide accomplishments from the previous school year and shared important goals the SEL Schools will seek to accomplish during the 2018-2019 school year.  Assistant Superintendent Dr. Veronica Motley provided a preview of initiatives the District will be implementing to provide high quality professional development for staff and improve student outcomes in the classroom.  The SEL Schools proudly welcomes back all teachers and staff for the 2018-19 school year!  First day of classes for students is Thursday, August 16, 2018.
