The first ever Brush High School Academic Decathlon team competed this past weekend in the Academic Decathlon of Excellence. The Academic Decathlon is a statewide non-profit organization that encourages enthusiasm for learning by acknowledging academic excellence among Ohio high school students of different achievement levels. This organization provides the opportunity for students to attain life-long academic and interpersonal skills that will benefit them in their future endeavors.
Brush’s Decathlon team traveled to Lake Catholic High School on Saturday, January 21st to compete in the Regional Competition. The team swept first place honors across the Novice Division, beating other participating schools including both public and private institutions. For the participants’ efforts, students received honor status as well as winning a trophy for the Brush High School decathlon team. Brush High School is extremely proud of the efforts of the Academic decathlon team, and the district looks forward to seeing them compete in the future!
