Brush NHS and Boys Basketball “Team Up” to Support Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center of Cleveland

The Brush National Honor Society (NHS) and the Brush Boys Basketball Team have joined forces to support the Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center of Cleveland.

The Brush NHS will be sponsoring a drive to collect much-needed items for the women and children that turn to the Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center in Cleveland. The collection will officially run from January 11th through February 3rd. Students can turn in donations to their first period teachers. In addition, students, parents, and/or community members can bring in TWO items from the approved list (see below).  Students who bring in two items will gain free admission to the Brush Boys Basketball game on Friday, January 13, 2017, against Eastlake North High School.

To gain free admission to the January 13th game, select two items from this list (all items must be new and in original packaging):

• Gift cards to Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Giant Eagle, Costco, Pat Catan’s, Michael’s, and/or Visa Gift Cards
• Used Cell Phones
• Kleenex
• Baby Wash
• Baby Lotion
• Diapers/Pull-Ups (Sizes 4, 5 & 6 ONLY)
• Diaper Cream/Ointment
• Clorox Cleaning Wipes
• Laundry Detergent
• Towels & Wash Cloths (NEW)
• Crayola Model Magic (White: Non-Toxic Air Drying Clay)
• Canvas Board of Various Sizes for Art Therapy
• Acrylic Paint for Art Therapy
• Paint Brushes for Art Therapy
• Paper (Papier-Mache) Masks
• Paper (Papier-Mache) Boxes
• Various Colored Pipe Cleaners
• Crayola Washable Markers
• Colored Pencils
• Oil Pastels
• Mod Podge
• String (Elastic String) for Jewelry Making/Beading
• Water Color Paper
• Stickers
• Packets of Drawing Paper
