SEL Vocalists Entertain Senior Citizens with Festive Music

Under the direction of Brush High School instructor Sara Ballou, a handful of vocalists took a field trip to South Euclid Community Center to entertain a room full of senior citizens earlier this week. Blending holiday favorites such as “Carol of the Bells,” along with traditional numbers like the Alma Mater, students sang to approximately 40 senior citizens while they ate lunch. Before singing, students had the opportunity to mix and mingle with the senior citizens. Ms. Ballou and students were accompanied by Superintendent Linda N. Reid, for what has become a yearly visit to the senior center. Special thanks goes out to the Community Partnership on Aging for their partnership with the programming. Congratulations to the Brush students who performed in fine fashion to enliven the senior citizens’ holiday season!
