Girls Basketball Rise in Rankings

Girls Basketball is off to a quick start with a 6-1 record including 2-0 in the WRC going into tonight’s matchup with Chardon. The team’s strong play hasn’t gone unnoticed, they’re currently ranked in both the News-Herald Top of the Crop and Cleveland.com rankings. The team stay steady at number four in the Top of Crop ranking and entered the Cleveland.com ranking at #25 this week. The team posted big non-conference this season against Beachwood and Cornerstone Christian. They swept Willoughby South and Mayfield last week to open WRC action. The team is being led in scoring by senior Arielle DeBase, she is averaging 14.8 points per game. DeBase surpassed the 750-career point mark this past Monday. They will return home next week, December 21, to take on Kenston.
