4th Annual BIke Rodeo Was a Huge Success

SEL Schools, along with the SEPD & LPD, The Cuyahoga County Board of Health and the ODOT sponsored Safe Routes to School Grant recently hosted our 4th Annual Bike Rodeo. The morning started off for families at registration with an immediate giveaway. Children had the choice between a bike helmet, bike pump, bike locks, or various other safety equipment. Families then strolled through the bike rodeo listening to the DJ while participating at various stations such as: face painting, bike registration, a bike tune-up, bike decorating, Brush robotics, an air brush artist and a bike obstacle course. When families got hungry they were able to get free hot dogs, popcorn, chips and beverages at the AVI/Coke sponsored food table. The event culminated with a BMX show and a raffle where 17 bikes and 12 scooters were given away. It was a beautiful, sunny day for families and friends to gather as a community to promote safe routes to school!
