4th graders in Mr. Weinberg and Mrs. Buchanan's classes participated in an in-depth exploration of the children’s literary classic, Old Yeller as part of a Book Bash project. Students first read the story and completed learning activities to support comprehension and vocabulary understanding. As a culminating activity, both classes met together to watch the popular movie based on the book. A robust discussion took place afterwards, as students shared their favorite parts of the story and what they learned from reading the book. The Book Bash activity was a big hit with students as they enjoyed the interactive and multi-media learning format!
