To help reward students for a strong start to the 2018-19 school year, as well as provide a preview of forthcoming PBIS events, Memorial Junior High hosted a PBIS kick-off event for all students on Friday, August 31, 2018.  Students enjoyed a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, including dodgeball, karaoke, dancing with music provided by a DJ, basketball and kickball.  The activities were coordinated by Memorial teacher and PBIS coordinator Allison Homrock.  PBIS, which stands for Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports, is a system designed to promote positive behaviors throughout the school year by rewarding students with fun school-wide events.  The students excitedly look forward to the quarterly events throughout the school year, especially the staff versus students basketball game.  Way to go Memorial!
