As part of Fire Prevention Month, members of the Lyndhurst Fire Department visited the Kindergarten classrooms at Sunview Elementary on Thursday, October 18, 2018, to teach students important lessons on safety and following proper protocols in the event of an emergency. Topics covered during the visit included identifying a meeting-place outside of their home and the importance of checking smoke detectors. Students also had the chance to ask questions and walk outside to get an up-close look at a fire truck! The SEL Schools thanks the Lyndhurst Fire Department for sharing important fire safety lessons with our students.
