SEL Elementary MAC Ambassadors Tour Brush High School Athletic Facilities

mac

Members of the 3rd grade Mentoring, Achievement, Community, or MAC Ambassadors program from all three elementary buildings visited Brush High School on Wednesday, February 6th to tour the various athletic facilities and learn more about the overall high school learning experience. The approximately fifty-three students who participated were organized by building and moved in rotations to take a tour of each of the building’s main athletic facilities, specifically, Welser Gym, ArcFit Training Center and the Brush Athletic Offices.  Boys Varsity Basketball Coach Chet Mason, Fitness and Wellness Coordinator Ryan Dugan and Varsity Football Coach Eddie Hall, along with MAC Ambassadors from Brush High School met with each building group to share about the many wonderful learning and co-curricular opportunities available to students at Brush High School. Ambassadors from Brush High School stressed the importance of maintaining good grades, being involved in athletics and co-curricular groups, being respectful and being around peers who have a positive influence as keys to making the most of their experience at Brush and preparing for a successful future.  Elementary students were also given the opportunity to engage in an informative question and answer session.  At the conclusion of the program, the students re-grouped in the Welser Gymnasium to hear final words of encouragement and inspiration, as well as receive their very own ‘Arc Nation’ rally towel.  A special thank-you to Coach Mason, Coach Hall, Ryan Dugan, Director of Pupil Services Melissa Thompson, and Brush High School MAC Ambassadors for their efforts in coordinating this wonderful event and inspiring our elementary students to continued success.
