Congratulations to the Greenview Upper Elementary School 5th Grade students who recently participated in a highly rigorous math competition among their grade level, entitled Math24. This competition is an innovative exercise that involves using 4 numbers in a combination of any of the standard math operations so that the number equals “24.” As the combination of numbers becomes more complex, students earn more and more points. The Math24 Competition requires hands-on skills along with quick and accurate thinking. The SEL Schools congratulates First Place winner Jaxson Gregory I, Second Place Winner Yu Chen and Third Place Winners Douglas Taylor and Carmella Mastropietro. A special word of gratitude is extended to Dr. Debra Barrickman, who serves as Gifted Coordinator and who also oversaw the event. Great work to everyone who participated!
