Brush student Victoria Semler was recently awarded a National Silver Medal in the 2019 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for her silver gelatin photograph entitled “Two Faced.” As a National Medal recipient, Victoria placed within the top 1% of all submissions! All winning artwork was selected by industry leaders in the area of visual and literary arts for demonstrating a high level of originality and technical skill, and for expressing a personal voice or vision. The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, a nonprofit organization which presents the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, will publish Victoria’s award-winning photograph online at https://www.artandwriting.org/ in June 2019. In addition, Victoria’s name will be listed in the organization’s 2019 Yearbook. The SEL Schools proudly congratulate Victoria Semler on her remarkable accomplishment!
