To celebrate the arrival of the fall season and take the opportunity to participate in a fun and collaborative activity, Memorial Student Council members carved pumpkins after-school on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Working together in groups, the students carved designs that reflected school-pride such as the district logo, a musical note, and spelling out the word “ARCS.” The activity was not only an opportunity for some fall-themed fun, but marked the first time many students had ever carved a pumpkin, helping to make the experience even more memorable. Led by advisor Jen Heitman
, who also serves as the Administrative Secretary for Principal Kaple
, the Memorial Student Council features an impressive sixty-one members, the largest number in school history! Memorial Student Council members are dedicated to making a positive impact in their school and community, and look forward to pursuing projects to accomplish that mission throughout the 2017-18 school year.
