Memorial Student Council ‘Carves Out’ Time for Some Pumpkin Fun

To celebrate the arrival of the fall season and take the opportunity to participate in a fun and collaborative activity, Memorial Student Council members carved pumpkins after-school on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Working together in groups, the students carved designs that reflected school-pride such as the district logo, a musical note, and spelling out the word “ARCS.” The activity was not only an opportunity for some fall-themed fun, but marked the first time many students had ever carved a pumpkin, helping to make the experience even more memorable. Led by advisor Jen Heitman, who also serves as the Administrative Secretary for Principal Kaple, the Memorial Student Council features an impressive sixty-one members, the largest number in school history! Memorial Student Council members are dedicated to making a positive impact in their school and community, and look forward to pursuing projects to accomplish that mission throughout the 2017-18 school year.
