SEL Appreciation Day Demonstrates Student Successes, Ongoing Partnership with Legacy Village

Students and student-based organizations were on full display this past Saturday afternoon, as the South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools celebrated its partnership with Legacy Village by holding the First Annual SEL Appreciation Day. Designed to benefit the students of the district, leadership from both SEL Schools and Legacy began planning the event earlier this summer as a day filled with showcasing student accomplishment and successes. Booths, performances and other fun and educational activities lined the main street of Legacy Village. Patrons visited the booths, participated in fun activities and relaxed on the lawn while enjoying performances by SEL students throughout the day. The afternoon was kicked off by the Brush High School marching band and ended with a special performance by the Brush Alumni Group, Light of 2 Moons. Booths featured the Robotics Club, Greenview’s STEM classes, Chromebook demonstrations by Memorial students, the Brush Arcs cheerleaders and many other student groups. Participants who dined at specified restaurants also saw a percentage of their bill to dine donated back to student groups. Special thank you to the City of Lyndhurst fire and police department for their participation in the event and for the special partnership that has been created with the leadership team at Legacy Village.
