On Wednesday, February 6th, National Signing Day, three of our own Brush Arc student athletes announced their intentions to attend and play sports in college. Alfonso Onunwor will be attending Coffeyville Community College, Davari Gill will be attending West Virginia Wesleyan and Jordan Bonner will be attending Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.
All three student athletes had great seasons for the three time defending conference champion Brush Arcs football team.
Wide receiver, Alfonso Onunwor, was named to the first team for the Northeast Ohio Conference, District and News Herald teams and received special mention for the All Ohio Team. This year, Alfonso had 53 receptions for 1,028 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Running back, Davari Gill, was named honorable mention for the Northeast Ohio Conference and News Herald teams and received special mention for the All Northeast Lakes District. This year, Davari rushed for 577 yards, averaging 7.4 yards per carry and 7 touchdowns.
Defenseman, Jordan Bonner, was named first team for the Northeast Ohio Conference. This year, Jordan had 65 tackles, 4 tackles for losses, 1 interception, 2 passes broken up 1 forced fumble and 2 fumble recoveries.
