Brush Arcs Shut Out Garfield Heights Bulldogs, 28-0, in First Conference Divisional Matchup
The Brush Arcs Varsity football team, behind its solid defense, got back on the winning track on Friday night against the Garfield Heights Bulldogs. Shutting out a team for the second time this season, the Arcs stormed out to a 28-0 victory with a touchdown in each quarter. The Arcs are now 1-0 in conference divisional play and have four more games, including three at home in the next month. The Arcs started strong with a touchdown in the first quarter, followed by a surprise two point conversion that caught the Garfield Height Bulldogs off guard. Scoring another touchdown in the second quarter, the team headed into halftime with a 15-0 lead. The Arcs kept the momentum throughout the rest of the game, scoring a touchdown in both the third and four quarters to ultimately win, 28-0. Congratulations to the team's defense, who not only shut out the Bulldogs, but also recovered a fumble for a touchdown. The Arcs return home next Friday on October 11th to face Valley Forge, to continue its quest for a three peat of a conference championship.
