Rowland Elementary Student Wins Regional Prize from Greater Cleveland Earth Day Coalition

Rowland Elementary Third Grader, David Horrigan, was recently announced as a “winner” in the Greater Cleveland Earth Day Coalition’s 2013 Art, Poetry and Essay Contest. David will be honored at a special recognition ceremony during EarthFest 2013, at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds on April 21, 2013, where he will receive a $50 prize along with the Hope and Stanley Adelstein Award for Excellence. Because of his winning entry, he will receive privileged admission to the EarthFest and may be eligible for his entire family to enter for free as well. His entry will be posted and on display in the Family Fun area immediately following the awards ceremony, which begins at 11 a.m. As an added attraction for teachers who wish to attend, the Earth Day Coalition is offering free admission to any teacher and their respective families, provided they bring their school ID badges, and present them at the gate.

Congratulations to David Horrigan for his special effort!
