It’s Official: SEL Schools to Renovate Korb Field

By a unanimous vote of the South Euclid Lyndhurst Board of Education earlier this week, The Korb Field Renovation Project will commence later this spring, as a resolution was passed to initiate the project. When completed, the Korb Field Renovation Project will help to accommodate more than half of the student population at Brush High School who utilizes the facility through classes or extracurricular activities on a yearly basis. The project will also include the replacement of the scoreboard at the facility.

The total project cost, approximately $634,000 will be funded through several designated sources. First, by June 2013, the district anticipates to have $500,000, or 80% of the total project cost, accumulated in the Stadium Reserve Fund, which will be applied to the total cost of the project. The balance of the cost will be paid for by sponsorships and advertisers. The district has also developed a number of resources for public information to help communicate the specific components of this project. Those resources are available by contacting the district athletic offices at 216-691-2121, or by visiting a specific page on the district Web site,www.sel.k12.oh.us/KorbField.aspx, where visitors will find a project summary, Frequently-Asked-Questions and Ten Facts about the Korb Field Renovation Project.
