The South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools Strategic Planning Process took another important stride this week, as members from the staff, student population, local elected leadership and community converged on the district administrative office to officially kick-off Phase II of the process. Specifically, the district mission statement and vision statement were unveiled and four goal concepts were presented to the gathering of approximately 75 individuals in attendance. Following a summary introduction segment, four breakout meetings took place, one for each goal concept, including a group for teaching and instruction, one for facilities, one for overall school climate and environment and one for communications. These breakout meetings were comprised of volunteers who will offer their insights into each goal concept over the next eight weeks, with the intent of creating an “action plan” for accomplishing each goal. More updates will be forthcoming from the SEL Schools about this important step in the process, and the district wishes to sincerely thank the members of the community who have volunteered to participate. To date, more than 300 individuals have provided their input to the future of the SEL Schools!
