Brush Arcs Friday Night State Football Playoff Game to be Hosted at Bedford against Glenville

It’s official!  The Brush Arcs Varsity Football Team has made the state playoffs for the first time since 2005!  The Arcs will bring a five game winning streak into the state tournament on Friday. In addition, last week, the Arcs wrapped up its third straight conference championship.

The Arcs (7-3, #8 seed) will face Glenville (9-1, #1 seed) this Friday night at Bedford. Game time is at 7:30 PM.  While the Arcs are the lower seed, it is important to note that last year, 25 of the 96 first round playoff games resulted in upsets.

The matchup between the Arcs and Glenville has been nominated for Action 19 News Big Board Game of the Week.  Please help us become the game of the week by voting at the following link and sharing it with all of your family and friends!  http://www.19actionnews.com/category/245455/subways-high-school-football-matchup-of-the-week

The Brush Athletic Department is located next to Welser Gym at Brush High School, 4875 Glenlyn Road in Lyndhurst. Please note that since this is an OHSAA State Tournament game, no passes will be accepted.

The Brush Arcs Football Team is requesting that all fans wear GOLD to the game in order to make it a GOLD RUSH.  Gold Arcs gear is also available at the Brush Athletic Department Office starting at $7.

Brush students also have the opportunity to ride the Brush Arcs Fan Bus for only $2. Students can have fun traveling with your friends on the Brush Arcs Student Fan Bus and also receive an Arcs Foam Lightning Bolt for the game. Tickets for the Fan Bus are also available at the Brush Athletic Department Office.  In order to run the bus, a minimum of 30 students is required.

It’s been an exciting fall sports season for the Arcs, as it featured three Brush Arcs teams winning the conference championship. Boys Golf won the first conference championship in twenty years, Boys Soccer won its first conference championship since 2004 and the Football Team won its third straight conference championship.

We wish the Arcs Football team the best of luck heading into the playoffs this week! GO ARCS!!!
