Sunview Third Graders Treated to Real Life Author’s Visit to School

As part of an ongoing component of Sunview's Third Grade “Treasures Reading Program,” classroom teacher Mrs. Cathy Groudle featured a visit by a special guest and local author to help advance the interest and promotion of literacy.

On Thursday, February 6, 2014, Mrs. Wendy Fedan, a local author of children’s material and Sunview parent, visited third graders to supplement the classroom instruction about authors and illustrators. Currently working on her third novel, Mrs. Fedan spoke about her experience as an author and what motivated her to get into book writing in the first place. After her presentation, Mrs. Fedan opened the floor to questions so that she could thoroughly engage the elementary school students. She was even generous enough to donate two of her books to the Sunview Library!

The SEL Schools would like to thank Mrs. Wendy Fedan for taking time from her day to meet with the students of our school district!
