Brush's Project Earth Awarded Grant to Expand Recycling Program

The Brush Environmental Club - Project Earth - has been awarded more than $1,400 in grant money from the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District to expand Brush's bottle and can recycling program. For the past five years, students and staff have been placing their bottles and cans in the paper recycling containers and the hard-working environmental club students have been separating them each Thursday morning when they recycle paper. Now, due to the grant funds, it is the club's plan to purchase separate blue recycling bins for just bottles and cans, both for classrooms and for the cafeteria.

Thanks to Project Earth for their contributions towards making Brush a "greener" place and to the students and staff that continually support the recycling efforts at Brush.
