Varsity Bowling Teams Have Strong Performances at Sectionals

The Boys and Girls Varsity Bowling teams participated in the OHSAA Sectional Tournament this past weekend and both squads represented Brush strongly. The Girls team took third place while the Boys team finished in second. With the second place finish, the Boys team advanced to the OHSAA District Tournament this Sunday, February 23rd at Riviera Lanes in Akron. The tournament starts at noon. This marks the second year in a row that the Boys team has qualified for the district tournament.

Several individuals also reached high marks, including Mike Taddeo, who had the tournament’s highest series with 656 and Clayton Eason, who had the fourth highest series with 628. For the Girls team, Maria Miozzi qualified for districts as an individual. Maria is the first girl in school history to qualify for districts.
