Elementary School Students Benefit from Improved Technology

Due to a deliberate effort by district leadership to provide the very best technology to students throughout the district, the SEL Schools is in the midst of a major technological upgrade that has elementary students already benefitting. At present, the technology team for the SEL Schools is in year one of a two-year plan to install new projectors, white boards and sound enhancement systems in virtually every classroom in the district. The team, which is ahead of schedule, began in the elementary schools over the summer, finished in the early part of the fall, and has now proceeded to Greenview Upper Elementary School. Once completed at Greenview, they will move on to Memorial Junior High and Brush. This has provided great learning opportunities for students at our youngest levels to become exposed to the latest technology and classroom learning experiences. White boards and projectors permit greater interaction between instructors and students, the sound system enhancements make learning much easier and technology is constantly at these students’ fingertips. When completed, more than 360 projectors and white boards will exist throughout the district. Plus, these upgrades are being conducted by SEL’s in-house team of experts, thereby saving the district an anticipated hundreds of thousands of dollars in costs. Stay tuned for more updates on the district’s technology upgrades at the South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools.
