Sunview Community Raises $2,100, Promote Awareness with Stick It To Cancer Day

As a way for Sunview students, staff and the entire school community to promote awareness and raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society “pennies for patients” campaign, a “Stick It To Cancer” Day was recently held in the building that resulted in great success. Students were permitted to choose a sticker to “stick onto” Sunview Principal Arika Taylor, which was done with great joy. In addition, a total of $2,100 was raised during the week of the campaign that ran between October 14- October 28, 2015, to support the society in their effort to research and fight cancer. Mrs. Bloom’s class raised the most money to support the cause, and earned a pasta luncheon from Olive Garden. A special thanks goes out to the entire Sunview family for their care and proactive approach in helping to battle Leukemia & Lymphoma.
