ConnectED - A Library Card For Every Student

Cuyahoga County Public Library and the South Euclid Lyndhurst School District are supporting the national ConnectED initiative: a Library Challenge to ensure that all students receive public library cards.

During the month of October, every South Euclid Lyndhurst City School Student will receive a Cuyahoga County Public Library card for free. This library card can be used at any of the Cuyahoga County Public Library Branches to check out books, use the Internet and Databases or Download e-books for free. If you would like your child to take advantage of this initiative to receive a card there is nothing you have to do. The Cuyahoga County Public Library will work directly with the South Euclid Lyndhurst School District to deliver your child a card.

If a student has a Cuyahoga County Public Library card but cannot use their card due to fines, Cuyahoga County Public Library will waive those fines in order to make sure every student can use the resources of the public library because learning doesn’t end in the classroom. If you do not want your child to have a card, please complete the opt out form that you received from your child’s school and return it to your child’s teacher on or before Wednesday, October 7, 2015. Forms are also available at your child’s school office.
