Rowland Honors Veteran Staff Member, Celebrates Veteran’s Day

Rowland Elementary School honored its staff member, Mr. Dan O’Brien, with a school-wide ceremony on Monday, November 10, 2014 on the special occasion of commemorating Veteran’s Day.  Mr. O’Brien, who serves as the school custodian and who will be retiring this year, was presented with a number of special tokens of building appreciation and given a grand round of applause in honor of his service to our country. A video was also presented to the students of the building, along with creative and special artwork to show respect to Mr. O’Brien and all of those who have served. South Euclid Mayor Georgine Welo was in attendance at the Veteran’s Day ceremony as well, and presented Mr. O’Brien with a proclamation. Rowland Elementary, along with the entire South Euclid Lyndhurst School District would like to thank Mr. O’Brien for his service to the country and the school district, and salute all of the Veterans who have served the United States of America in the armed services.
