Brush Students Support Local Food Banks with Empty Bowls Project

Brush students are joining fellow students from nearby districts to raise awareness about world hunger and support local food banks by participating in the Northeast Ohio Empty Bowls Project. As part of the project, students in the advanced ceramics art class, under the direction of instructor April Lewis, create ceramic bowls which will be used to serve soups donated by local restaurants at an upcoming public dinner. The event will take place on Friday, April 22nd from 5 - 7 PM at the Eastlake North High School cafeteria. Each individual bowl costs $10 to reserve and can be kept at the conclusion of the event as a reminder about the issue of worldwide hunger. All proceeds will be donated to local food banks, including the food pantry at Garfield Memorial Church in South Euclid. The South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools wish to thank April Lewis and all participating students for donating their creative talents in support of the Northeast Ohio Empty Bowls Project.
