Brush Art Students Receive State and Regional Art Honors

The Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition is an annual event showcasing 300 pieces of art created by high school students from across the state of Ohio. We would like to congratulate Hannah Imel, whose piece was awarded and will be on display at the James A. Rhodes State Office Tower in Columbus, Ohio from April 13th to May 15th.  Submitted works are first judged at one of the fifteen regions across the state. Over 900 pieces were submitted to our region and ten Brush students were accepted at this level. These art works were then driven down to Columbus and judged at the state level with over 3,000 works from across the state. The awards ceremony for the students is at the Riffe Center, Capitol Theatre at 12:00 noon on April 13th.

The following students had work accepted at the regional level:

Dominique Dalton
Kylie Demkowicz
Anna Fox
Hannah Imel
Araya McDaniel
Dionne Hummings
Conor Heisler
Chris Martin
Nick Hachem
Rachel Feinstein

Congratulations to the Art Department for this tremendous accomplishment!
