Rowland 2nd Graders Participate in Mathathon

Twenty-two second graders at Rowland Elementary School participated in the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Mathathon in April, under the direction of coordinator Marcia Armbruster, Math Specialist. These students completed Mathathon booklets and raised $1,307.36 from sponsors to help in the fight against childhood cancer and other related catastrophic illnesses.

Many thanks to the following students who did the math and helped save lives: Christopher Range, Ethan Kaplan, Noah Boyd, Allison Jackson, Carlin Jones, Kimleisha Steele, Loleah Clay-Barker, Brooklynn Wiley, Anilah Coleman, Justine Anderson, Sean Vassar, Aria Collins, Sid Daouk, Justus Vickers, Logan Booker, Jordyn Fears, Collin Cunningham, Lily Strok, Madison Evans, Malai Haynes, Tamia Smith, and Aubrey Welchains. Thanks also to district substitute Martin Armbruster for coordinating assistance.
