Rowland Students Honor September 11

On September 11, 2014 students at Rowland Elementary School took time to reflect on those affected by the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Throughout the school day, first grade students spent their day engaging in activities that honored those who experienced loss during this tragedy. Such classroom discussions included an activity about the book, “September 12th We Knew Everything Would Be All Right,” written and illustrated by first-grade students of H. Byron Masterson Elementary in Kennett, Missouri. In all, Rowland Elementary School took time to pay respect to those involved with the tragic events from thirteen years ago in a positive and constructive manner.
