njhs

Twenty-five Memorial students were formally inducted as members of National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) at a special ceremony in the old gym on Friday, May 11th.  Parents and family were present to celebrate the students’ proud accomplishment.  Membership in NJHS is based on the five pillars of the organization, which include scholarship, service, leadership, character and citizenship.  Memorial NJHS members must maintain a high-grade point average and commit to completing twenty-hours of community service.  Guest speakers included South Euclid Mayor Georgine Welo, and Lyndhurst Mayor Patrick Ward.  A traditional candle lighting ceremony and speeches reflecting the five pillars of NJHS were delivered by Memorial student members Arthur Bargainer, Frances Rhine, Chanel Jackson and Brune Boukobza.  Congratulations to the 2018 National Junior Honor Society inductees for proudly representing ‘Arc’ pride and the South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools!
