The Brush School Climate Committee recently hosted an Ice Cream Social to reward students from each grade level who earned a 3.0 GPA or higher during the 1st semester.  The event took place in the cafeteria during 7th and 8th period.  10th and 11th graders were recognized on Tuesday, 2/13, while 9th and 12th graders were rewarded on Thursday, 2/15.  Altogether, over 100 students from each grade level were recognized for academic achievement by the Brush School Climate Committee.  Gordon Food Service generously donated half of the ice cream cups for students to enjoy during the social.  Participating students found the experience of being recognized and appreciated for their hard work and classroom achievement extremely rewarding. The Brush School Climate Committee is composed of ten student members and began meeting during the 2016-17 school year.  The student group is related to the district-wide PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Supports) system and seeks to promote student achievement and a positive school atmosphere through the Ice Cream Social and other building-wide incentives.  Congratulations to all the students recognized on a job well done!
